   LOVE  YOU  FOREVER   
A  mother  held  her  new  baby  and  very  slowly  rocked  him  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth. And  while  she  held  him,  she  sang:  I'll  love  you  forever,  I'll  like  you  for  always,  As  long  as  I'm  living  my  baby  you'll  be.
The  baby  grew.  He  grew  and  he  grew  and  he  grew.  He  grew  until  he  was  two  years  old,  and  he  ran  all  around  the  house.  He  pulled  all  the  books  off  the  shelves.  He  pulled  all  the  food  out  of  the  refrigerator  and  he  took  his  mother's  watch  and  flushed  it  down  the  toilet.  Sometimes  his  mother  would  say,  "This  Kid  is  driving  me  CRAZY ! "
But  at  night  time,  when  that  two-year-old  was  quiet,  she  opened  the  door  to  his  room,  crawled  across  the  floor,  looked  up  over  the  side  of  his  bed;  and  if  he  was  really  asleep  she  picked  him  up  and  rocked  him  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth.  While  she  rocked  him  she  sang:  I'll  Love  you  forever,  I'll  Like  you  for  always'  As  long  as  I'm  living  my  baby  you'll  be. 
The  little  boy  grew.  He grew  and  he  grew  and  he  grew.  He  grew  until  he  was  nine  years  old.  And  he  never  wanted  to  come  in  for  dinner,  he  never  wanted  to  take  a  bath,  and  when  grandma  visited  he  always  said  bad  words.  Sometimes  his  mother  wanted  to  sell  him  to  the  ZOO ! 
But  at  night  time,  when  he  was  asleep,  the  mother  quietly  opened  the  door  to  his  room,  crawled  across  the  floor  and  looked  up  over  the  side  of  the  bed.  If  he  was  really  asleep,  she  picked  up  that  nine-years-old  boy  and  rocked  him  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth.  And  while  she  rocked  him,  she  sang:  I'll  love  you  forever,  I'll  like  you  for  always,  As  long  as  I'm  living  my  baby  you'll  be.

But  at  night  time,  when  that  teenager  was  asleep,  the  mother  opened  the  door  to  his  room,  crawled  across  the  floor  and  looked  up  over  the  side  of  the  bed.  If  he  was  really  asleep  she  picked  up  that  great  big  boy  and  rocked  him  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth,  back  and  forth.  While  she  rocked  him  she  sang:  I'll  loce  forever,  I'll  like  you  for  always,  As  long  as  I'm  living  my  baby  you'll  be.

  Halibut  With  Fresh  Tomato  Sauce 
 
INGREDIENTS :
2 large  ripe  tomatoes, ~ diced   
1/4  cup  fresh  basil, ~chopped 
3  tbsp  extra  virgin  olive  oil
1  tbsp  balsamic  vinegar
1/2  lemon,  juice 
1  tbsp  garlic,  minced
4  halibut  steaks
3  tbsp  vegetable  oil
salt  and  pepper  to  taste
METHOD :
1.  Combine  tomatoes,basil,  olive  oil,  vinegar lemon  juice  and  garlic  in  a  bowl.  Set  aside.
2.  Rub  fish  with  vegetable  oil  and  season  with  salt  and  pepper.
3.  Grill  fish  over  medium-high  fire  about  5  minutes  per  side  or  until  fish  springs  back  when  pushed  with  a  finger.
4.  If  a  barbecue  is  not  available,  cook  on  hot  oil  in  a  skillet  for  3  minutes  on  each  side  and  then  put  the  skillet  in  the  oven  and  cook  for  an  extra  5-10  minutes.
5.  Spoon  some  tomato  sauce  on  4  plates.
6.  Put  fish  on  sauce.

    When  I  Feel  Angry (=) * note  to  parents *
Everybody  feels  angry  sometimes.  While  we  can't  avoid  the  feeling  of  anger,  we  can  prevent  acting  in  angry  ways  that  hurt  others.  The  distinction  between  feeling  an  emotion  and  acting  upon  it  is  important.  Helping  our  children  make  this  distinction  and  helping  them  manage  their  anger  without  hurting  others  are  among  our  most  important  tasks. 
 We  need  to  teach  our  children  ways  to  manage  uncomfortable  and  unpleasant  feelings.  Some  ways  to  manage  anger  are  outlined  in  this  book;  you  and  your  children  may  find  others  that  work  for  you.  Praise  and  encouragement  when  your  children  are  successful  at  recognizing  and  managing  their  emotions  will  reinforce  their  comfort  and  feelings  of  competence.
 No  matter  what  we  say,  children  learn  most  by  our  example.  So  we  must  know  how  to  manage  our  own  angry  feelings.  Many  of  us  were  not  helped  to  do  this.  Perhaps  we  learned  that  expressing  our  feelings,  even  our  most  negative  ones,  was  all  that  was  necessary.  Now  it's  known,  however,  that  simply  expressing  anger  without  knowing  how  to  reduce  and  resolve  it  can  lead  to  it's  escalation  and  to  violence  in  words  and  deeds.

           WHEN   I   FEEL  ANGRY
When  somebody  makes  fun  of  me,  I  feel  angry.  I  feel  angry  when  I  have  to  stop  a  game  at  the  best  part  and  clean  up  my  room,
or,  when  we  finally  can  go  swimming,  it  rains.  It  makes  me  mad  when  I  try  my  hardest  but  I  can't  make  my  drawing  look  right.  I
just  crumple  it  up  and  throw  it  away.  If  the  teacher  says  I  was  talking  and  I  wasn't,  I  get  angry.  It  isn't  fair ! " Anger " is  a  strong,  hot
feeling.  When  I  feel  angry,  I  want  to  say  something  mean,  Or  yell,  Or  hit.  But  feeling  like  I  want  to  is  not  the  same  as  doing  it
"Feeling"  can't  hurt  anyone  Or  get  me  in  trouble,  but  "doing"  can.  When  I  want  to  say  something  mean,  Or  yell,  Or  hit,  there  are  
there  are  other  things  I  can  do.  I  can  go  away  from  the  person  I'm  angry  with.  I  can  take  deep  breaths  and  blow  the  air  out,  hard,
to  send  the  anger  out  of  me.  I  can  make  my  anger  cooler  by  running,  riding  my  bike,  Or  doing  something  I  really  like  to  do.  After  
a  while  I  feel  better.  I  can  have  a  good  time  again.  Some  things  that  make  me  angry  can't  be  changed,  like  when  our  team  loses, 
my  favorite  thing  gets  spoiled.  But  sometimes  when  I  feel  angry,  it  means  something  needs  to  be  different.  Maybe  it's  me.  Maybe  I
need  to  rest  Or  Cry.  Maybe  I  need  time  by  myself.  Maybe  someone  else  needs  to  be  different.  Maybe  someone  needs  to  be  nicer 
to  me,  Or  to  stop  being  unfair.  I  might  need  help  figuring  it  all  out.  Then  I  can  change  what  I'm  doing.  Or  I  can  tell  someone  else
what  I  need.  I  can  listen  to  the  other  person  tell,  too.  Talking  and  listening  usually  make  things  better.  When  I  feel  angry,  I  don't 
have  to  stay  angry.  I  can  cool  down  so  I  don't  hurt  someone  Or  get  into  trouble.  I  can  go  away.  I  can  take  deep  breaths  and  blow
them  out.  I  can  run,  ride  my  bike,  Or  play  with  my  toys.  I  can  rest  Or  Cry.  I  can  figure  out  what  made  me  angry,  Or  ask  someone
to  help  me.  I  can  talk,  and  I  can  listen.  When  I  feel  angry,  I  know  what  to  do !

  Rub  your  tummy,  pat  your  head.  Find  something  yellow,  find  something  red.
  Reach  for  the  sky,  wiggle  your  toes.  Stick  out  your  tongue  and touch  your  nose. 
  Roar  like  a  lion,  growl  like  a  bear.  Give  me  a  kiss........Do  you  dare ?
  Wiggle  your  fingers,  slap  your  knee.  I'll  tickle  you  if  you  tickle  me !
  Find  something  big,  find  something  small.  Spin  in  a  circle... but  try  not  to  fall !
  Close  your  eyes  and  count  to  four.  Now  do  a  somersault  across  the  floor.
   Spread  your  feet,  look  upside  down.  Make  a  silly  face  and  act  like  a  clown.

    TURNOVER    TUESDAY    
One  Tuesday  Bonnie  Bumble  baked  SIX  plum  turnovers  for  breakfast.  "Delicious,"  she  said,  and  she  ate  up  FIVE,  every bite.
There  wasn't  even  a  crumb  left  over  for  her little  dog,  SPOT .  
But  when  Bonnie  Bumble  got  up  from  her  chair ,  she  turned  over  upside  down.  And  nothing  could  turn  her  back  over  again.
So  Bonnie  Bumble  put her hat  on  her  feet  and  her  shoes  on  her  hands.  Then  she  went  to  do  her  chores.
Upside  down  she  milked  the  cow.  But  the  milk  SPLASHED  out  of  the  bucket.  Upside  down  she  gathered  the  eggs.  But  the
eggs  SMASHED  out  of  the  basket.
On  the  way  back  to  the  house,  the  sheep  nibbled  her  hair.  And  the  pig's  tail  tickled  her  ear. "This  will  never  do!"  said  Bonnie  Bumble.  Back  into  the  kitchen  she  went  to  find  the  last  plum  turnover.  Upside  down  she  ate  it,  almost  every  bite.
When  she  got  up  from  the  table,  she  turned  back  over  RIGHT-SIDE UP!  "Thank  goodness  everything's  back  to  normal,"  said

      THERE  WAS AN OLD LADY WHO SWALLOWED  A SHELL  !  
There was an old lady who swallowed a "SHELL".  I don't know why she swallowed the shell.  She didn't tell. There was an old lady who swallowed a "CRAB ".  Why did she grab that crawling crab?  She swallowed the crab to live in the shell.  I don't know why she swallowed the shell. She didn't tell.  There was an old lady who swallowed a" FISH ".  What a tickly dish, that swimming fish!  She swallowed the fish to catch the crab.  She swallowed the crab to live in the shell.  I don't know why she swallowed the shell.  She didn't tell.  There was an old lady who swallowed a " GULL"  It wasn't dull to swallowed a gull.  She swallowed the gull to scoop up the fish.  She swallowed the fish to catch the crab.  She swallowed the crab to live in the shell.  I don't know why she swallowed the shell.  She didn't tell.  There was an old lady who swallowed a pail.  She didn't wail when she swallowed the "PAIL".  She swallowed the pail to carry the gull.  She swallowed the gull to scoop up the fish.  She swallowed the fish to catch the crab.  She swallowed the crab to live in the shell.  I don't know why she swallowed the shell.  She didn't tell.  There was an old lady who swallowed some  "SAND".   Oh, how bland! To swallow sand!  She swallowed the sand to fill up the pail.  She swallowed the pail to carry the gull.  She swallowed the gull to scoop up the fish.  She swallowed the fish to catch the crab.  She swallowed the crab to live in the shell.  But I don't know why she swallowed the shell.  She didn't tell.  There was an old lady who swallowed a WAVE.  Swallowing a wave was such a big hassle, that she suddenly burped........... and built a SAND  CASTLE !  by : Lucille Colandro
