Cousins,  aunts,  and  uncles

We  gather  in  the  kitchen,
Each  and  every  one,
We're  going  to  make  some  latkes,
Because  it's  so  much  fun.

The  cousins  grate  potatoes,
That's  what  we  like  to  do -
We  mix  matzo  and  some  onions,
Then  add  an  egg  or  two.

Mommy  fries  the  latkes
And  puts  them  on  a  plate,
Supper's  almost  ready,
And  I  can  hardly  wait.

First  we  light  the  candles
Because  we  celebrate
The  victory  of  the  Maccabees -
Tonight  we're  lighting  eight.

Then  Dreidel  I  shall  play.
We  all  go  to  the  table
Cause  now  it's  time  to  eat
Our  applesauce  and  latkes,
What  a  yummy  treat !

Now  that  supper's  over,
we  wash  and  put  away,

Then  Dreidel  I  shall  play.
The  kids  sit  in  a  circle -
We  all  take  turns  to  spin:
Some  take  some  pennies  out,
Some  put  some  pennies  in.

I  made  it  out  of  clay,
Oh,  Dreidel,  Dreidel,  Dreidel,
Then  Dreidel  I  shall  play.
It  has  a  lovely  body,
With  leg  so  short  and  thin,

It  drops  and  then  I  win !

Girls and  Boys  can  practice  the  ideals  of  democracy  in  their  everyday  lives.
In  clubs  and  classes  they  can  elect  their  officers.
They  can  learn  to  choose  leaders  wisely  instead  of  just  voting  for  their  personal  friends.

  Sexual  Orientation 
 A  guy  sits  down  at  the  bar  and  orders  5  shots  of  tequila  and  downs  them  straight.
bartender  asks,  "Did  you  have  a  long  day ?"
The  man  replies  that  he  just  found  out  that  his  brother  was  gay  and  leaves.

    On   Culture     
The  way  of  life  that  a  group  of  people  builds  up  over  a  long  period  of  time  becomes  the  people's  culture.
Culture  includes  the  people's  values  and  beliefs  as  well  as  their  technical  competency.

    Extremely  Quiet   
A  cop  pulls  a  drunk  motorist  over  and  asks,  " Where  have  you  been? "
" I've  been  to  the  pub,"  slurs  the  drunk.
" Well,"  says  the  cop,  " It  looks  like  you've  had  quite  a  few."

  What  You  Want  to  Be  when  You  Grow  Up
This  question  and  another  similar  question,  ' Have  you  decided  what  you  will  do  after  you  finish  school?',  were  among  the  most  common  questions  people  often  asked  me  when  I  was  a  small  child  and  then  a  student  in  school.
Choosing  the  right  career  is  very  important.
For  this  reason  we  should  try  to  find  out  what  our  talents  and  interests  are  and  how  we  can  use  them.

     The  Generation  Gap 
Today's  teenager  is  a  young  adult;  he (she) is  more  mature  and  responsible  than  the  teengers  of  previous  generation.
Nevertheless,  he (she)  is  beset  with  customary  trails  natural  to  his  age  group  disconcerting  periods  of  self-doubt  and  other  periods  of  self-suffciency.
His (her)  character  and  personality  are  in  the  process  of  being  molded.

    The  ELVES  and  the  SHOEMAKER 
There  was  once  a  poor  old  shoemaker,  who  lived  in  a  little  cottage  in  the  woods.
One  evening  after  supper,  he  told  his  wife  that  he  was  unhappy.
"I  am  working  too  slowly,  now  that  I  am  old,"  he  explained.
