  BABY  LEFT  IN  HOT  CAR 
A  four-month-old  baby  left  locked  in  a  car  outside  of  a  department  store  has  police  warning  people  not  to  leave  children  or  pets  in  vehicles  this  summer.

Witnesses  saw  an  infant  in  the  back  of  a  white  Toyota  sedan  in  a  parking  lot , with  the  windows  rolled  up  to  within  an  inch  of  the  top,  no  one  around  the  locked  car  and  no  air  flow  to  cool  the  child.

Officers  broke  the  front  window  and  took  the  baby  out  of  the  vehicle.  The  little  girl  was  taken  to  hospital  to  be  checked  out  for  possible  heat  stroke.

The  mother,  a  22-year  old  woman  could  face  child-abandonment  charges.
